- That line remains in the article, the gist of a few sentences that I have otherwise deleted, beginning "More than fifty years before Jackie Robinson." Is there any reason to doubt that Bellan was lily-white? --P64 03:01, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Bellán was white. Until 1900 the Cuban League was a segregated, whites-only league. BRMo 03:14, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
