[edit] User:Steven
Hi, I am assuming this was your old userpage? I just want to be sure its not vandalism. Thanks. ∞Who?¿? 03:10, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, that last edit pretty much answers that question :) You could use #REDIRECT User:Steven instead. Also you could have actually moved it to your new username, but you already created that page. Cheers. ∞Who?¿? 03:13, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Newport News Mayors
Hey Steven... I see you've started to help fill in the gaps in the list of NN mayors. That's excellent - I could use the help. Do me a favor though and use the succession box template at the bottom of each entry - that helps provide a linear path for folks to move from one mayor to the next. You can see an example of one at the Barry E. DuVal page. Thanks again! --Golfhaus 14:24, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Disputing "Christmas in July"
Steven --
No offense, but I have marked your Christmas in July article as disputed. Please see the comments on its talk page. If people actually do celebrate this, please add specific details on who and where, and a citation, if possible. If you mean to document the advertising slogan, please edit the article to reflect that. If this is a joke, it would have been funnier if you had posted it on April 1st, or at least some time in July. --DavidConrad 03:17, 3 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] User Categorization
Hello! We are working on a new system that will categorize the users. Please take a moment to move your user page into the category Category:Wikipedians in Virginia and removing your name from the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Virginia page.
To add your name to the category, please use the tag to sort yourself correctly.

[edit] User categorization
I moved you into Category:Wikipedians in Virginia myself, so you need not worry about it. For future refernece (if you move?) You just need to add this Wikicode to your user page: (just be sure to change Virginia to whatever state you move to.)
If you click on Edit this page on your user page you will see the code that I added, at the bottom. You can also see the category listing at the bottom of your user info page.

[edit] Hillel, in case you're not watching it
Just letting you know I replied to your comment at Talk:Hillel Society. jnothman talk 11:58, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Pope John III
I've removed from the page on Pope John III a paragraph you added on 2005-10-26 claiming that many scholars think John III was actually a woman. If this is true, could you please cite some verifiable references? Thanks. Gareth McCaughan 19:53, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
(Thanks for the clarification. Gareth McCaughan 09:46, 30 December 2005 (UTC))
[edit] IB user category
I noticed your user page linked to the IB Diploma Programme article, so I took the freedom of adding you to the IB wikipedians category, I hope you don't mind. Obli (Talk)? 23:11, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jim Moran
Um, I hardly think calling a convicted former Congressman "now-disgraced" is vandalism. I don't have a problem with your taking it out, but I think the vandalism warning was a little harsh. NawlinWiki 22:31, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks :) NawlinWiki 22:46, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Oyster Point City Center article
If you would like to collaborate with writing articles, this might be a good place for us to start. I am living in Newport News, and would be more than happy to help you write it with you. Let me know when you want to start and we can go to work. --No1lakersfan 02:20, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- I am thinking that possibly I start articles and you can contribute whatever else you know about the topic, or vice versa. Whichever you want to do is fine with me. I think that two heads are better than one, which is why I wanted to see if you and I could work together. Let me know what you want to do and we can go ahead with that plan. --No1lakersfan 01:06, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] dude..
You added to my talk page, so I thought I would return the favor. Stephen Colbert brought me back to Wikipedia with his segment on "Wikiality," and the new semi-protection policy made me log in for the first time in, like, forever. Hope you're having a good summer. --Omaryak 08:59, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong talk page?
I didn't realize you had an alternate account... Anyway, thanks for at least acknowledging my concern by deleting it. And, go VCU! That was a great game last night. Leebo T/C 13:00, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- So, who's User:Stevenl? The account, which links to yours, left an angry message on a NawlinWiki archived talk page (see the history of the talk page). I apologize if there's some confusion here. Leebo T/C 18:39, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ugh... User talk:Stevenl was userreq speedy deleted... Leebo T/C 18:40, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Upon further inspection User:Stevenl was linked to User:StevenL by you, giving the indication, for all intents and purposes, that Stevenl is an alternate account. Can you clarify? Leebo T/C 18:51, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Basically, this is what I'm referring to. I responded at User talk:Stevenl, to describe why editing an archive is not the best course of action and to request a more civil and specific manner of interaction with NawlinWiki. Shortly thereafter, my comment was deleted. The page was replaced with "Wikipedia has turned into Lord of the Flies" or something to that effect. And since then it was deleted by user request. You don't remember this sequence of events? Leebo T/C 19:12, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, well, that would make more sense. For future reference... I guess... you are allowed to register doppelganger accounts so that people can't register imposters or very close names. Happy editing. Leebo T/C 20:56, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] :)
