[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!!!
|
Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. And doing it with a edit summary of "copyedit" appears highly unethical. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 19:50, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
Hi there. I noticed you've been adding a lot of links to articles about restaurant chains. They're probably not appropriate to the articles, but the reason I'm leaving this message is the edit summaries you're using. You've been marking all these additions as a "copyedit". Adding an external link is not a copyedit, and labelling it as such is misleading to other editors. Please try and make sure your edit summaries are clear, accurate, and helpful to everyone. --Q Canuck 19:58, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] wikEd
Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.
wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus: • syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • more fixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages • convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjust the font size • and much, much more.
Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Often it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.
