Strzelno

Strzelno, formerly German Strelno. Town in the Polish province of Poznań. Population 12.486. The 12th century church of St Prokop, in the shape of a roman rotunda, is considered to be one of the best preserved original churches in Poland. Birthplace of Nobel Prize winning physicist Albert Abraham Michelson (1852-1931) and Evangelist Ridley Haim Herschell (1807-1864).
