Bloodlust: Subspecies III is the third film of the Subspecies quadrilogy, which was produced by Full Moon Studios. Full Moon is famous for producing low budgeted horror films, like the Puppet Master film series.

With Michelle (Denice Duff) deep in the catacombs, Becky (Melanie Shatner) has no way of knowing what is happening. Radu's Mummy (Pamela Gordon) is at work attempting to bring her son back from the dead. With Michelle's blood and the enchangted dagger that killed him, Radu's Mummy is able to bring her son back to life. As the police search the tomb for Michelle, Radu (Anders Hove) and his Mummy prepare to leave. Becky tries to explain to Lieutenant Marin (Ion Haiduc) and Mel (Kevin Blair) what happened, but, they still do not believe that there are real vampires. Mel finally gives in, a little, when a mysterious smoke escapes the tomb in an explosive burst.

Radu, his Mummy and Michelle return to Castle Vladislas. Michelle promises Radu that she will obey him, only if he teaches her everything that he knows and also spares Becky's life. Radu reluctantly agrees, even at the disagreement of his Mummy who wishes Radu to kill Michelle. Radu takes Michelle out hunting so that she can enhance her powers. Mel contacts an old friend, a former operative of the CIA for help. Mel and Becky plan to break into Castle Vladislas and free Michelle and kill Radu and his Mummy. Lieutenant Marin still doesn't believe in vampires, but, he wants to help. When Mel and his friend enter the castle they find Radu's Mummy torturing a young girl, one that had been kidnapped the night before by Michelle and Radu. Radu's Mummy quickly disposes of Mel's friend and knocks Mel unconscious.

In their final evening together, Radu gives Michelle a family necklace to wear; when his Mummy attempts to kill Michelle herself it is Radu that cuts his Mummy's head off and tosses it in the fire. "I've severed my entire bloodline for you, what will you do for me?", Radu says to Michelle. Michelle forgives Radu for the evil that he bestowed upon her when he bit her. Becky attempts to contact Michelle on the walkie-talkie that Mel's buddy brought when they entered the castle. Michelle leaves the castle to tell Becky that she must go without her; Radu follows and kills Lieutenant Marin. Becky has a surprise for him, a gun with silver bullets. Becky orders Radu take her to the castle. When they get in the castle, Becky orders Radu to release Mel and let them all, including Michelle, leave. Michelle doesn't go with Becky, instead she takes the gun from her and puts it to her own head. She threatens to kill herself, because death would be better than living with the horrible disease that Radu has given her. In a bold move, Michelle turns the gun on Radu, who doesn't believe that she will kill him, and fires every round. Radu falls lifelessly to the floor and the four, including the kidnapped girl, flee the castle. They reach the outside, but, the sun has begun to rise. It slows Michelle down, but, since it has not fully risen it cannot kill her. They attempt to find an exit out of the castle, but run into Radu, who has apparently not died and seeks the Bloodstone which was stolen. Michelle is placed in the bodybag that they brought, to protect her from the sun. Radu promises to let them live if they give him back the Bloodstone. Becky hurls it over the edge and Radu attempts to pursue it. Before he can get too far he runs into the rays of the sun. Radu's body bursts into flames and falls from the castle wall. Becky and the rest finally make it to their car and drive off. Radu's burning corpse is left smoldering on the tree branches that it staked itself on. Radu's burning flesh begins to drip to the ground; the flames go out and the flesh begin to morph, creating the demonic subspecies.
