Are you truly sure a fraction must be whole numbers or integers? What if I have a plump cake and I take away 1/2 away and then take away 3/4 away? What is 3/4 of 1/2? .75 / .5? Coffsneeze 02:45, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

- I agree, but what about 3/4 divided by 1/2? Then, I take 3/4 and multiply 1/2's reciprocal, 2. Then, I have 3/4 times 2 or 6/4. After simplifying the fraction, I have 6/4 = 3/2 = one and a half.Coffsneeze 11:18, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
