Tag Team was an American hip hop group, best known for their 1993 hit "Whoomp! (There It Is)". The members were DC the Brain Supreme (Cecil Glenn) and Steve Roll'n (Steve Gibson).
95 South's "Whoot, There It Is" was oddly similar and released a month earlier. However, the single-artwork downloaded through the iTunes Store shows 'Tag Team Featuring 95 South'.

Within a year of the release of "Whoomp! (There It Is)" Tag Team re-mixed the backing music with a version of the theme song from the original Addams Family television series to create the highly derivative song "Addams Family (Whoomp!)" for the film Addams Family Values; for all intents and purposes, it was roughly the same song with an Addams-themed flavor. Actors Christina Ricci and Jimmy Workman reprised their film roles as Wednesday Addams and Pugsley Addams (respectively) for the song's music video.
In an advertisement for the chocolate snack Swoops, the song was used with the changed lyric, "Swoop! There it is".
Beavis and Butt-Head once watched the video for this song, which features the word "Whoomp" on screen several times. Beavis thus described it as a good video for learning how to read. The duo also sang along with the chorus, altering the lyric to "Whoomp! There's my butt!"
In Chris Rock’s “Bigger and Blacker,” he says,“You don't like Puerto Ricans? Your daughter's gonna come home with ‘Livin' la vida loca!' Don't you just love that shit? That's a catchy-ass song. You just want to jump up on shit. 'Livin' la vida loca! Come on!' l feel that shit. l'll be driving, 'Livin' la vida loca!' l love that shit. That ain't going nowhere. That's gonna be out a long time. That shit is like the Puerto Rican Whoomp! (There It Is)!”
In Daria, during a car drive out of town to get rid of a squirrel, her dad, Jake Morgendorffer, Quinn Morgendorffer's than short term boyfriend, and Daria's boyfriend Tom Sloane are singing this song, to which Jake inplies `I love this song``.

- "Whoomp! (There It Is)" is commonly used at sporting events, particularly basketball. It was the theme song for the 1993 Philadelphia Phillies baseball team and was featured prominently during the 1993 World Series. Between innings at one game, Tag Team performed the song on the field, with special lyrics related to the Phillies.
- British dance band Clock did a cover of Whoomp! (There It Is).
- In an episode of the TV-show "The Wayans Brothers", Marlon Wayans found out something which made hair grow. The stuff was called: "Goop, hair it is!"
