Tangerang Regency

Tangerang Regency is a regency of Banten province, Indonesia. It has an area of 1,110 km² and population 3,187,000 (2003). It is part of Jabotabek, the metropolitan area surrounding Jakarta. Tigaraksa is the capital of the regency.
The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is located in the regency.
Tangerang Regency is bounded by Java Sea to the north, Jakarta and Tangerang City to the east, and West Java and Lebak Regency to the south.
Tangerang Regency is subdivided into 26 subdistricts.
