The page and your link seem to be proper and useful. Although it's not against the rules that you link to your own stuff when it is aplicable, it is still suggested against. I cant see the mention of this wing in the source you provided. Are there other sources? Also if this number was only in use for a year, would it be more helpful to describe on the parent page with a possible redirect?Obina 14:20, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your input and additional source. I'm still in the middle of working on that article, and hadn't done the sources section yet. I do have a number of interesting (and one uninteresting but very useful) source, that I hope to add sometime soon. Just too busy now to do it. [edit] Organization and Hierarchy (T/D) of the USAF

Tdrss,

I took all the information on the top of the Category:Military units and formations of the United States Air Force page and created a new article (Organizational structure and hierarchy of the United States Air Force). It looked a lot unweildy to have all that information at the top of the category. I also linked to the article by including {{catmore}}at the top and piped it to the article.

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article 21M-LGM30G-2-1-7, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi. I noticed that you created most (if not all--I haven't looked at them all yet) of the pages in this category, and that most of them appear to contain no content other than the bare outline of a structure for an article. I wonder if it might be more appropriate to move them to your user space until you have finished fleshing them out, so that people searching Wikipedia for this information won't be disillusioned at finding these incomplete articles. Thanks for responding. You have a point. However, now I have another suggestion. You could keep a "master template" for the structure of these pages on a user subpage. Then when you get information that goes on a particular unit's page, you could add it according to the master structure you've developed. And then, you could eliminate the empty structure that exists on each unit's page, so at least the casual reader won't know that the information they're getting is incomplete. :) Or at least it won't be so obvious that the article is under construction. . . . Or maybe a tag on each one letting the reader know that they are under construction would be better . . . I don't know. Anyway, the reason I even care is that many of these pages appear to be orphaned. As it is, they're not fully participating in the network function of Wikipedia. Is there any way we can link these pages more fully into the rest of the article mainspace? Thanks.—Carolfrog 22:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

One of the things newcomers to Wikipedia have no understanding of is the sheer volume of articles we receive. Thousands of articles an hour pass through the gates, some worthy and some not. Much of what determines the initial cut is whether the subject is notable or not. For more information on what constitutes noteworthiness, you may wish to read wikipedia:Notability. While I have no doubt the guys (and girls) at the 543rd are great people, I have to question whether they are of encyclopedic noteworthiness based on what is in the article. While I can empathise with you about having your article deleted, you must also appreciate that Wikipedia is not a repository for Everything In The Universe, and must exercise some discretion about what it accepts and what it doesn't.
