[edit] History
Team Sirromet Wines was originally called Paul Morris Motorsport and was originally a Formula Ford team in 1990 and had a long relationship with the BMW's works supported operation in 90's, winning four Super Touring titles.
[edit] V8 Supercar era
In 2000, Team Sirromet joined the V8 Supercar Series after a season with Paul being an enduro driver for the Holden Racing Team. The team originally joined with Big Kev, an Australian cleaning products company. In 2002, Big Kev was replaced by Sirromet Wines and Spirits, which Paul's family runs the company. In 2005, Team Sirromet expanded it's engineering services and merged with Team Kiwi Racing and TKR finished 3rd at the round at Shanghai. In 2006, Team Sirromet expanded again and brought in a 2nd car for British born New Zealander Fabian Coultard, Alan Gurr and Steve Ellery. In the final rounds of the 2006 season, Fabian, Alan and Steve were briefly replaced by Jack Perkins and Shane Price, with a deal done between Team Sirromet and Jack Daniels Racing, where a JDR made chassis was given to Team Sirromet to replace the one used early in the season, as it was re-verted to Team Kiwi. In the 2007 season, it has been rumored that Fabian will be in the #39 seat for the whole season while Paul Morris will still be in car #67.
