Originally part of the Pearl Brewery page, it seemed more fitting for the TTC to have its own page. I'll make updates as soon as I get a chance, but won't do much until I can get the time to finish Pearl's history. --Brownings 17:43, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Two "Texas Transportation Company" entities
According to [1], there were two railroads called "Texas Transportation Company" - this one and one chartered in 1866 which was eventually absorbed into the Southern Pacific Railroad empire. This information should be included, perhaps using the Wisconsin Central Railway article as a model (I don't have time to add it right now...). Slambo (Speak) 20:11, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for bringing this up Slambo. Since creating the article I found out about the original TTC and the fact that while named the same they're completely separate companies. Eventually I'll get around to this article and start expanding on it. At the rate I'm going with the Pearl Brewing Company page it may be awhile before I get enough time on my hands to make it over to TTC. [edit] Finally some content (20 Aug 2006)
I'm no where near done with the Pearl Brewery, but I've got so many good photos of the TXTC engines on my desktop that it's driving me nuts. So, I figured I'd spend some time over here this weekend. Speaking of TXTC, I found that TXTC is actually the reporting name for Texas Transportation Co., instead of the TTC I had used before. I think I've also provided a solution problem of two companies having the name Texas Transportation Co. I created a notice link at the top that tells people looking for the original Texas Trans to visit Texas & New Orleans Railway Company. Bad thing is, there's no page for that company at all. I may start one eventually, or combine both companies here like suggested by Slambo above, but right now there's no way I'm starting in on something like that.
