[edit] Summary
Photograph by Theo Clarke of a sales sample volume of Douglas Corrigan's autobiography That's My Story. This sample contained only the first chapter of text and the rest is unprinted pages to create a sample that salesmen could use to show booksellers the form of the book ahead of full publication. This was particularly important for a book that was due to be supported by promotional appearnces by its author. The cover art is not the same as the published dust jacket. It is simply a photo of the author and a blurb describing the book's contents. The image as published is a derivative work.
