IMDb profile |
My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade is an animated feature co-inciding with the release of the Crystal Princess line of My Little Pony. It featured the debut of the Breezies who live in Breezie Blossom and the 2006 re-design of Spike the dragon, who originally featured in the first run of My Little Pony (referred to as the G1 line by collectors) from the 1980s into the 1990s.
The DVD also features another animated feature, A Charming Birthday, which was originally released on video in 2003.
The film has developed somewhat of a mock cult following on the popular movie website IMDb.[1] In a similar fashion to Snakes on a Plane, users hailed the film as being a monumental achievement in filmmaking, and analyzed it deeply on the message boards. The movie has earned an 8.0 on the 10.0 rating scale, with 1152 votes reported.

But a troublesome weed lands Wysteria and Pinkie Pie in a mysterious cave where Spike the dragon has been sleeping for a thousand years. He makes Wysteria a princess, but Wysteria learns that it's more important to be true to yourself.

[edit] Continuity errors
- Star Catcher - Star Catcher appears in some scenes, but is animated without wings, like a regular earth Pony. However, in the scene just before Spike is introduced, she is seen in the air, hovering on thin, gossamer wings.
[It had previously been listed that Thistle Whistle, a blue pegasus who appeared in one shot, and Coconut Grove, a pink pegasus appearing in two shots, could not have been there canonically because Star Catcher is the only one to have been to Ponyville at the time. However, that entry ignored the fact that Dancing in the Clouds (2004 - VHS with Star Catcher figure), Friends Are Never Far Away (2005 - DVD with Hidden Treasure figure), and A Very Minty Christmas (2005) had been released before The Princess Promenade (2006). This means that by the time of this film Ponyville has been visited by the pegasus ponies from Butterfly Island at least twice (three times including Star Catcher's solo visit in Dancing in the Clouds.)]Coconut Grove could have possibly apperared almost at the end (Middle-Part) Where she was in the talking place with wings.
