SexTV: The Channel is a Canadian category 2 digital cable specialty channel presenting programming on sex and human sexuality including issues on love, dating, romance and related subjects. The channel is owned by CHUM Limited. The channel borrows its name from the Citytv original program, SexTV.
On July 12, 2006, CTVglobemedia announced they would make a friendly takeover bid to buy CHUM Limited. CTV's initial plans were to keep all CHUM's specialty channels, although through its application to the CRTC, SexTV: The Channel along with other channels were listed as services that will be put up for sale.
