The Crow is a fantasy novel by Australian poet, playwright, fantasy novelist, and librettist Alison Croggon. It is the third book of her first fantasy series Pellinor.

The book is set in the fictional world of Edil-Amaranoh. According to the author, this book is the third part of her translation of the 8 part book, Naraudh Lar-Chanë (the Riddle of the Treesong).

While his sister, Maerad was up in the north in search of the Treesong, as told in The Riddle, Hem and his mentor Saliman have arrived in Turbansk, the center of the light in the Suderain, and Saliman's School. There Hem became a minor bard, and have lessons with other bards of Turbansk. Because he does not know the Suderain language, Hem finds it very hard to make friends. After a huge argument with one of his teacher, Hem escaped to a garden, where there were many fruit trees. There Hem saved a crow which being attacked by other crows. The unusual thing of the crow is that its feathers were white. Hem named the crow Irc and kept him. A few days later, Turbansk received new that the black army of Sharma, the nameless one have destroyed cities and towns to the south, and were expected to attack Turbansk soon. The children were evacuated from Turbansk, but under the request of Saliman, Hem stayed. Hem worked in the healing chamber to cure the wouded people. One day while wondering around the now almost empty Turbansk, Hem bumped into an orphaned girl called Zelika, whos parent were
