The Dogcathalon Finale was the season finale of the PBS Kids GO! show, FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman. The episode premiered on PBS on June 29, 2006.
[edit] Synopsis
After a season of absurd challenges, three rounds of competition pitted the FETCHers against each other for a grand prize. Ruff was upset to let them go, and was scrambling to prepare for his vacation with his owner to Hawaii. He forced his contestants to perform various preparations for his vacation in the competition.
For the first round of elimination, Taylor and Brian, 6th and 5th place in points respectively, were to compete to pack dirty dog toys with their mouths. Brian retrieved nineteen toys, and Taylor twelve. As a result, Taylor was sentenced to relax by his pool, drinking a smoothie, tropical-style.
Julia, 4th place, competed against Brian in round two. Brian was to pop as many blue balloons, Julia orange, as possible with their bottoms. Brian was once again victorious with eleven balloons, and Julia lost with ten. Julia was also sentenced to Taylor's fate.
Khalil and Anna, and Noah and Brian competed as two teams to each build a four-foot structure to hold kibble in the third round. The latter team's structure failed under torsion, while Khalil, and Anna's tower held all the food by incorporating a strong base and middle with trusses. The losing team got smoothies as well.
In the final round, Khalil, and Anna competed in a half-time quiz, and smelling competition. Anna won.
As the daily winner, Anna won a digital camera, and a smoothie as well. Everybody was sent to go white water rafting.
