"The One with Joey's Porsche" is the fifth episode of the sixth season of the American television series Friends.
First aired: October 21, 1999
[edit] Plot
Joey and Monica finds a Porsche key at the coffee house, not knowing whose it is. Joey decides to go find the car and leave a note for its owner.
Meanwhile, Phoebe tricks Monica and Chandler into taking care of her brother's triplets by telling them that they're "three incredibly cute little puppies" before revealing, "By the way, they are not actually puppies, they are Frank and Alice's triplets".
When Joey finds the Porsche, girls walking by thinks Joey is the owner as he was standing next to it. Joey, wanting to impress them, does not deny.
Rachel agrees to become Phoebe's roommate, as the latter's current roommate, Denise, just left the town.
Monica, Chandler and Phoebe spent the afternoon babysitting the triplets. Chandler was having a hard time taking care of the babies, therefore suggested that they each be in charge of a different task of wiping, diapering and playing.
Joey receives better treatment when he stands next to the Porsche, "one guy gave (him) advice about (his) equity investment". Therefore, he does not want to give back the car keys to the owner. He decides to wash the car, instead of just standing next to it, in order to make the idea of about him being the owner of the car more believable.
The owner of the Porsche comes back when Joey was polishing the car. Joey reluctantly hands over the keys to the owner.
Meanwhile, Chandler wants to let the babies play with his toy Croc when they get up from their nap. However, Phoebe forbids as the toy contains little parts that might choke the babies. Upset, Chandler went back to his apartment. After a while, Chandler comes back with a "Sonic-blaster gun" lodged in his throat. He was trying to prove that he was right about Croc being a safe toy.
Rachel and Ross go to court to annul their marriage. On her form, Rachel wrote that they want to annul their marriage based on Ross being "mentally unstable", "an intravenous drug user", lies about his "sexual preference before marriage", and being "unable to consummate the marriage". Ross, upset about the last point, tells the judge they "consummated like bunnies while (they) were dating". The judge tells them they were ineligible for an annulment and have to file for divorce. Ross and Rachel makes a fuss until the judge threatens to put them in jail.
Joey, missing the Porsche, went to buy a set of Porsche apparel to make people think he owns a Porsche by wearing the clothes.
Monica brings Chandler to the hospital about his throat, leaving Phoebe with the babies. Struggling to take care of the triplets by herself, Phoebe ends up making a mess in Monica's apartment.
Ross brings back the papers for divorce for Rachel to sign on them. Rachel confesses that the marriage was "kind of (her) idea" and traced back on the night it happened.
