The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, which ran for 16 episodes from September 11, 1971 to September 2, 1972 on CBS, was a television spin-off of The Flintstones. It was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
The show followed neighbors Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble in their teenage years. The episodes were set mainly in the duo's activities at Bedrock High School, in the prehistoric town of Bedrock.
The cast of characters included Pebbles (voice provided by Sally Struthers) and Bamm-Bamm (voice provided by Jay North); their friends Moonrock (Lennie Weinrib), Fabian (Carl Esser), Penny (Mitzi McCall), Cindy (Gay Hartwig; who was actually more of a foe) and Wiggy (also Gay Hartwig) in addition to "Bad-Luck" Schleprock (Don Messick). This Hanna-Barbera Production was produced by Iwao Takamoto, directed by Charles A. Nichols, written by Joel Kane, Woody Kling, Howard Morganstern, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears. The music was written and composed by Hoyt Curtin and Ted Nichols.
Like other cartoon shows produced in the 1970s, the Hanna-Barbera laugh track was added to the soundtrack of The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.
