The Royal Today is the upcoming spin-off to the ITV1 60s set drama, The Royal, but set in the present day. The first series will air in 50 half-hour episodes. [1]

The interior set of The Royal, situated in Bradford, is currently undergoing a makeover to transform it into a modern hospital. Shooting begins very soon.
