Thomas Brooke, 2nd Viscount Alanbrooke

Thomas Brooke, 2nd Viscount Alanbrooke was born on 9 January 1920. He was the son of Field Marshal Sir Alan Francis Brooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke.
He received his education at the Wellington College in Berkshire and fought in the Second World War in the Royal Artillery. He was a writer and a water colour artist. He died on 19 December 1972 at age 52, unmarried. The viscountcy is expected to go extinct upon the death of the third Viscount, who is seventy-three and without issue.
