Thomas J. Herlihy, Jr. is an American politician. Herlihy, a Republican, has been a state senator from Connecticut since 1999.
Herlihy, a resident of Simsbury, represents the northwest suburbs of Hartford in the Farmington Valley and Litchfield County in the Connecticut Senate, including the towns of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, Granby, Hartland, Harwinton, New Hartford, Norfolk, Simsbury, and Torrington.
Herlihy was born Queens, New York and received a B.S. in Education from the University of Hartford. Prior to being elected in the Connecticut Senate, Herlihy served on the Simsbury Board of Selectmen and as a Connecticut State Representative.
