Throwdown Thursday appears every Thursday with the biggest games in college basketball in primetime during the regular season on ESPN and ESPN2. The official name is Throwdown Thursday presented by IBM. The games include, on ESPN, a ACC battle at 7pm ET with Dave Pasch doing play- by- play and Len Elmore as color commentator. The 9pm ET game, also on ESPN features a Big East match up with Dave O'Brien and Rick Majerus. The studio host is Rece Davis along with analysis from Fran Fraschilla and Hubert Davis. They deliver the half time report, post game report and live in-game updates. The gang also appears on College GameNight later that night during the Trifecta.
On ESPN2 at 9pm ET is usually a mix of mid major schools with Dave Revsine and either Doug Gottlieb and Tom Brennan, or Stephen Bardo. All of these games including the in- studio reports are broadcast on both ESPNHD and ESPN2HD. Throwdown Thursday is similar to Big Monday, Super Tuesday and ACC Wednesday.
