Tipton railway station is located in the town of Tipton in the borough of Sandwell, West Midlands, England. It is situated on the West Coast Main Line. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Central Trains.
At the southern end of the station, there is a level crossing.

Tipton is served by Central Trains' services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton, which are sponsored by Centro.
During Monday-Saturday daytime, there is a train approximately every half hour, which calls at most stations between Birmingham and Wolverhampton (some trains omit certain stations). On Sundays, there is typically one train per hour, calling at all stations.
