[edit] History
The TNA X Division Championship was created on June 19, 2002, during the first show promoted by TNA, for their newly-created X Division. TNA promotes the X Division and the X Division Championship as "wrestling reinvented" and views it as the innovative side of professional wrestling, whereas the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is promoted as the "traditional" side to wrestling, representing prestige and history.
On May 25, 2003, Chris Sabin won the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship, unifying it with the X Division Championship as World Wrestling All-Stars (WWA) closed after that show.
