True Ogre is a fictional character in the Tekken fighting game series. He is the main antagonist and the final boss along with his other form, Ogre, in Tekken 3. Ogre turns into True Ogre after he absorbs either Heihachi Mishima or Jin Kazama.

[edit] Tekken 3
After Ogre was defeated by Paul Phoenix in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3, he morphed into True Ogre, a large monster with a snake in the place of one of his arms. Ogre could now fly, teleport, and breathe fire, in addition to all of his other powers and moves. It is possible that Ogre absorbed the Devil Gene, because Ogre absorbs power from Heihachi Mishima or Jin Kazama to transform into True Ogre.
It was the final battle: True Ogre versus Jin Kazama. Jin, seeking revenge against the monster that killed his mother, defeated True Ogre, and True Ogre's body dissolved into nothing afterwards.
Two years later, Heihachi attempted to use Ogre's genes to make himself the ultimate warrior, but his plan was unsuccessful, and he learned that he needed the Devil Gene to integrate Ogre's genome with his own. Both Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama possessed the Devil Gene, so Heihachi announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 to lure Kazuya and Jin into the fourth tournament in order to obtain the Devil Gene.
[edit] Devil Within (Tekken 5)
After Jin left the Hon-Maru after the final battle in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, he heard that his mother, Jun Kazama, was still alive at G Corporation. When Jin traveled to their labs, he discovered what G Corporation was truly after: Ogre. Beneath the labs were the remains of another ancient temple, where Jin battled his nemesis once more. True Ogre fled to a deeper part of the ruins, and Jin followed him.
The enemies Jin fought were tekken force aliens, and the surroundings resembled a crystal-like palace. Jin accidentally destroyed the seal containing Ogre, so Jin had to battle Ogre again. Ogre revealed yet another transformation, and his third form towered over Jin. Ogre's body became a green and golden color and his body had more horns and it was even more dragon-shaped. He has a new ability to create giant whirlwinds, along with all of his other attacks, which makes him extremely difficult to defeat.
Although it is implied that G Corporation revived Ogre, it is not known if the Devil Within side story is canon. It's also unknown if the Ogre here is the same Ogre as in Tekken 3 or if it is a different one altogther, seeing as how there was another temple and the fact that this Ogre does not have a snake arm like the one that appeared in Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament. Also, Devil Within implies that Ogre has a much deeper relationship with the Devil Gene than previously known.

- Ogre and Devil are shown fighting with each other while flying in the air. Devil fires his eye beam and Ogre uses his fire breath. Before one of Devil's beams can touch True Ogre, he instantly teleports behind Devil and then brings him down. Finally, he flies away and breathes fire on Devil.

- True Ogre, Devil, Angel, Devil Jin, Jinpachi Mishima, and Gon are the only characters in the Tekken series to incorporate ranged attacks in their movelists. True Ogre breathes fire, Devil, Angel, and Devil Jin fire mystical beams from the crystal in their head, Jinpachi creates a fireball from a mouth in his stomach, and Gon spits fireballs. All of these attacks are unblockable, but can be avoiding by crouching, jumping, or side stepping.
- In Tekken 3, True Ogre has a unique (within Tekken) move where he simulates the effect of a leg sweep with his elongated snake-like arm.
