Talk:Turok-Han
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
strong similarity between the words Turok-Han, the uber-vampires and Uruk-hai, the uber-orcs of Tolkein's universe. Anyone know if this was intentional on Joss Whedon's part? If so, should be included as etymology for the term. Bindingtheory 05:02, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe, but if we have no proof, commentary or other from reliable sources, we have nada. Abaraibar 06:46, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

- I have added a note about the name resemblance, because it seems at least as obvious to me as the mentioned Mutant Enemy mascot resemblance, and there are other examples of apparent Tolkien similarities being cited. --John Hubbard 03:22, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FRAY CONNECTION
"When last we saw Melaka Fray the Vampire Slayer, she was about to be engulfed by a rather ugly looking demonic dragon. The creature's appearance represents the least of the world's problems. The beast is actually "the womb to the gateway" that will disgorge flesh-eating demon after flesh-eating demon. In Buffy mythology, this is the thing that gives birth to Ubervamps." I've never read the comics, but can someone write about this on the article? -Lil_Flip246
