Twenterand is a municipality in the eastern Netherlands. The name means "edge of Twente" as it is situated on the northwestern fringe of the Overijssel historical region of Twente. Note that the former municipality of Den Ham, one of the constituent parts of the merger municipality, is actually situated in the historical region of Salland, not Twente.
The municipality of Twenterand also has two city halls, because of the merger between the former municipalities of Vriezenveen en Den Ham, which are now both part of the municipality of Twenterand.
