Una Pope-Hennessy

Dame Una Pope-Hennessy (née Birch), DBE (1876 - 1949) was a British writer who authored numerous books on history and literature. She was the mother of Sir John Pope-Hennessy (1913 - 1994), the noted art historian.
Her most famous work was Secret Societies: Illuminati, Freemasons, and the French Revolution ([1]).
Her personal papers are at the British National Record of Archives ([2], [3]).
She was created a Dame Commander of the British Empire in 1920.
