Ural Airlines

Ural Airlines is an airline based in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It operates scheduled and charter, domestic and international flights. Its main base is Koltsovo International Airport (SVX).

Sverdlovsk State Air Enterprises started operations in 1943. Ural Airlines is a joint stock company incorporated under the laws of the Russian Federation in December 1993 after the separation from Yekaterinburg airport. It was established and started operations on 28 December 1993. It is owned by Ural Wings (65.77%) and Ural Transport Bank (14.67%). It employs 1390 staff.
Following the recent delivery of Airbus A320 aircraft, Ural Airlines is expected to introduce fruther Western aircraft in 2007. It is reported to be in advanced talks to source some used ATR 42 or ATR 72 aircraft for use on regional routes [2].

Ural Airlines operates the following services (at January 2005):
- Domestic scheduled destinations: Chita, Adler/Sochi, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow, Nadym, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk, Novy Urengoy, Salekhard, Samara, St Petersburg, Ufa and Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg.
- International scheduled destinations: Dubai, Dushanbe, Khudzhand, Munich, Paris, Prague, Tashkent and Yerevan.
