Veljko Paunović (born 21 August 1977 in Strumica, Macedonia, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football striker. He currently plays for FC Rubin Kazan.

He reached the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1998-99 final with RCD Mallorca.
He was signed by FC Rubin Kazan in March 2007.

He made his debut for FR Yugoslavia and scored against Mexico in friendly 2-1 won, 13 February, 2002.
His last cap was against Northern Ireland, friendly 28 April, 2004.
