Vice-Chamberlain of the Household
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Vice-Chamberlain of the Household is usually a junior government whip in the British House of Commons and is an officer of the Royal Household of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom. As a member of the Royal Household his duties are largely nominal, though he may be required to act as an usher during a Garden Party and may have other tasks to perform. He compiles a daily private report to the Queen on proceedings in the House of Commons.
