Vlodrop

Vlodrop (Limburgish and town dialect: Vlórp) is a town in the southeastern part of the Netherlands in the municipality of Roerdalen. The town is situated near the German border, about 8 km southeast of Roermond.
Vlodrop was a separate municipality until 1991, when it was merged with Melick en Herkenbosch.[1]
In 2001, Vlodrop had 1995 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.51 km2, and contained 850 residences.[2]
The most famous resident may be Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who was reported to be living there as of 2006 on the terrain of the former College St. Ludwig.
