Wetpaint is a wiki hosting service (or wiki farm) founded in October 2005. Wetpaint targets non-technical internet users who want to collaborate online. Wetpaint is free of charge and supported by contextually based advertisements.
Wetpaint is located in Seattle, Washington, USA and received its initial 'A' round of venture capital funding of USD5.25 million from Trinity Ventures and Frazier Technology Ventures in October 2005.[1] Wetpaint closed a USD9.5 million 'B' round of funding in January 2007, adding Accel Partners to the list of investor. Wetpaint is a Delaware corporation and was originally named Wikisphere.[3]
Wetpaint was a sponsor of Wikimania 2006.
