There are several purpose of this project:

1. to create more articles about roads in the Golden Horseshoe
2. put all of the pages regarding roads in the Golden Horseshoe into a more organized categories (will be further explain below)
3. Standardize all pages under this WikiProject
4. to create and maintain articles about malls in the Golden Horseshoe

[edit] Stages of the project and projected completion dates

Overall completion Date (excluding Phase Seven) is January 2009.

CURRENTLY ON→Phase One: Construction of this page is ongoing. Our goal is to move all current pages regarding roads in Golden Horseshoe which has a Regional Road identity to new categories (For Example, York Regional Roads; Simcoe County Roads). Also, place all regional roads into a list (should finish by February 2007)

CURRENTLY ON→Phase Two: Write articles about all Regional Roads. Start rating them as you start new articles or fix articles up. (We need a large workforce to do that. (Should finish by January 2008-- It depends on the size of the workforce we have.)

STARTING ON →Phase Three: Separate roads into municipal categories, such as "Roads in Markham", or "Roads in Vaughan", etc. Furthermore, regional/county road shields are to be created (should finish by April 2008)

Phase Four: Delete unrelevant pages (Old pages), move them if necessary. (should finish by July 2008)

Phase Five: "Roads in xxx Region" (For Example, Roads in Simcoe County) would grow and be the head of all subcategories. The position of this category amongst others would be more symbolic. This category would only hold only local and collector roads within a Regional Municpality/County without a Regional Road identity. (should finish by November 2008)

Phase Six: Fix all the stubs in the categories, to make these articles to be more fuller. (should be finished by January 2009)

Phase Seven: Patrol. (Infinite)

Until December 2, 2006, 16 regional roads were put into a new category of York Regional Roads. I will further elaborate (or someone else could help me with that) this section--The Geography Expert 21:28, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

All York Regional Roads are put into a list on November 28, 2006. All Simcoe County Roads are put into a list on December 1, 2006. Some Huron County Roads are put into a list on December 1, 2006. All Peel Regional Roads are put into a list on December 29, 2006.

Phase Two already launched on November 24, 2006. Over 20 Municipality Categories are created, such as Roads in Vaughan.

Phase Two is now well underway. We need your help to create all municipality categories in the Golden Horseshoe region. See the Golden Horseshoe list (below) for details.

Phase Two is progressing in a fast speed, over half of the York Regional Roads have articles, and many of them are rated. We need your help to rate them.

Phrase Three launched on January 15, 2007.

All York Regional Road shields have been created by Ilovevancouver90909, and most of the Simcoe County Road shields have been created by Smcafirst.
