- Our Chalet is a good article nominee. Do you have an opinion? Could you improve it further?
- Can you help with the Girl Guide and Girl Scout article? See our talk page for ideas about what's needed.
- A task force userbox has been created by Darthgriz. To put this on your user page, type {{User GG/GS Taskforce}}.
- GGGS-task-force line has been added to the Scouting Wikiproject Banner. Our thanks to Rlevse for this. If you find an article within our scope, without this line, please add it.

[edit] Scope and Goals
This task force considers all articles involving Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting to be within its scope. This includes articles about mixed sex organisations and activities and articles where the subject or majority of subjects are/were male if Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting are/was involved, as well as female and female-only articles.
The goals of this task force are:
- To increase the amount of accurate and well written information on Wikipedia about Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting.
- To encourage equal participation of female and male editors in Wikipedia Scouting by being a presence for Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting.
[edit] Suggested Biographies
There are many people who contribute or contributed to Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting who could have a biography on Wikipedia but don't. Suggestions are listed below. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy on notability.
- Helen Storrow, prominent GSUSA leader and donated Our Chalet
- Rose Kerr, the writer on Girl Guiding, a friend of OBP.
- Elisa Colberg, founder of Girl Scouting in Puerto Rico. See Scouting in Puerto Rico.
- Edith Frances Crowdy - first general secretary of WAGGGS
- Dame Katherine Furse - director of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts for 10 years. Head of the Sea Guides/Sea Rangers in Britain
- Dame Leslie Violet Lucy Evelyn Whateley - director of the World Bureau of WAGGGS for 13 years
- Catherine Pollard - the first female Scoutmaster authorized by the Boy Scouts of America, in the mid-1980s. She led a troop in the 1970s but the BSA refused to recognize her as a Scoutmaster until a decade had passed. She died in December 2006. (I know it's BSA but she's a lady Scouter...)
Also some who have articles but not much on their Guiding.
