From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WMEN is an AM radio station in West Palm Beach, Florida, which airs a talk radio format branded as ManTalk 640. Programming on the station includes The Jim Rome Show, Tom Leykis The Don & Mike Show and Mancow. While the station is based out of the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton radio market, it has recently begun targeting the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida radio market.
WMEN is located at 640 KHz and has a construction permit for 25,000 watts from a tower site in Belle Glade, FL. Because of Cuban interference on that frequency, ownership has applied for 50,000 watts of power.
WMEN is currently operated by the James Crystal Radio Group.
Prior to becoming WMEN, the call letters were WJNA, which had been on various frequencies in the market prior to 640AM. WJNA's format was "standards" or "nosalgia" which targeted older demographics. WJNA became WMEN on October 23, 2006.
