WPYB, 1130AM, is a radio station in Benson, North Carolina–a small town between Raleigh and Fayetteville–that has a classic country music format.
WPYB is the first station that was owned by George G. Beasley, the founder of Beasley Broadcast Group. Mr. Beasley has long since sold WPYB, and the current ownership is Dunn-Benson Broadcasting, a local company owned by a husband and wife.
The station is active in a number of community events, such as Benson Mule Days.
WPYB operates only during daylight hours.
