WRBZ, 850AM, is a sports radio station serving the Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Its branding is "850 The Buzz."
WRBZ was the original flagship station of the Carolina Hurricanes when the team moved there from Hartford, Connecticut in 1997. It now carries Duke Football and Basketball games, Carolina Panthers Football games, select ECU Football games, the Roy Williams and Butch Davis shows, and several other seasonal play by play games.
The station's program lineup consists of Don Imus, Jim Rome, and local shows hosted by Chris Clark and Adam Gold. Weekends include programs from Fox Sports Radio.
WRBZ is a sister station to WDNC, which has a similar format, more local programming, and some shows from ESPN Radio.
