"The Paper" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season one. For the movie, see The Paper
Brief summary: Squidward gives a piece of paper to SpongeBob, and promises that he doesn't want it back. But when SpongeBob has lots of fun with it, Squidward begins to regret the promise and has to think of a way to get the paper back!

Squidward throws a bubble gum wrapper on SpongeBob's lawn. When SpongeBob discovers it, he asks Squidward if he can keep it. He asks him four times.Squidward says:"Take it".When Spongebob has fun with it,first he goes naked with the paper covering him.Squidward becomes so jealous that he eventually trades everything he has to get it back.

- Not many notice but throughout the episode,squidwards doorknob changes places.When he throws the paper,its on the right,then when he shuts the door on spongebob,it the other way round.
