Lemonade

Lemonade is a simple drink that has been invented over 1000 years ago in Egypt. It has been adapted around the world as a refreshing summer drink and as a natural health remedy for fighting colds and acne.
It is commonly made with water, lemon juice, and sugar.
Recipe for 8 cups of lemonade: 8 freshly squeezed lemons 1/2 a cup of sugar 5 cups of water (optional: dice a lemon into 4 pieces and add them to the mixture)
Best served cold.
Sugar is sometimes replaced by maple syrup for more nutritional values.
To make pink lemonade, insert a few drops of grenadine.

Due to its high concentration in Vitamin C, lemon juice is thought to treat many infections, help wound healing and lower high fever. It has been known to aid in relieving symptoms of acne, asthma, tonsillitis, colds and sore throats. Also reputed to be a liver detoxifier, thus helping to relieve constipation.
