Pig
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A domestic pig (or hog) is a farm animal. They are often pink, but small pigs kept as pets (pot-bellied pigs) are often other colors. Pigs do like mud, but this is really just because they use it to protect themselves from too much sunlight. Pigs are usually eaten for food (called pork). Jewish and muslim people believe in not eating pigs because it is considered a dirty animal. Many people think that pigs are dirty. But in fact, they roll around in the mud to keep parasitic animals away from their skin. This also helps to keep their skin moist.
