神经科学

神經科學是專門研究神經系統的結構、功能、发育、遗传学、生物化學、生理學、藥理學及病理學的一门科学。對行為及學習的研究都是神經科學的分支。
對人腦研究是個跨領域的範疇，當中涉及分子層面、細胞層面、神經小組、大型神經系統（例如：視覺神經系統、腦幹、腦皮層）。
最高層次的研究就是結合認知科學成為認知神經科學,其專家被稱為認知心理學家。一些研究人員相信認知神經科學提供對思維及知覺的全面了解，甚至可以代替心理學。
