[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing anonymously. You can continue to do so. You are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, but doing so will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 206.167.123.9). There are many benefits for logging in to Wikipedia.
Please note these points:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] Please do not vandalise Wikipedia
[edit] September 2005
Regarding this edit which you made recently to the Steve Ballmer article: Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Hall Monitor 22:46, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] October 2005
Regarding this edit to hudud, we acknowledge that there are British and American spellings in English and we accept either, the only thing is consistency within an article. It is typically frowned upon to change the spellings without a specific reason (such as an article on Boston should probably use American and not British spellings, and Liverpool should be the opposite). It is really no big deal but I figured it might be a useful bit of policy to know. Good luck and have fun with your edits! gren グレン 00:00, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
- I came to say the same (though, as a Bostonian, myself, from the original Boston, I'd have used a different example...). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:16, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] April 2006
I notice you removed the external links sections from a number of articles. If you are doing this for a reason you should indicate this in the edit summary box before you click the save button. I am reverting your edits for now. Tim! 16:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Your recent edit to Draughts was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept our apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // Tawkerbot2 10:40, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References
Please do not remove items listed in the "References" sections of articles. These citations are a necessary part of verification of facts within the articles. Slambo (Speak) 13:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 12:33, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gertz v. Robert Welch
It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Gertz v. Robert Welch, Inc.. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Daniel Case 16:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edits on November 6th, 2006
This is the only warning you will receive.
Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I c e d K o l a (Contributions) 23:53, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Elgin Street, Lancashire
You made and edit to the article Elgin Street, Lancashire on 21 November 2006 which was factually incorrect, at least according to the up-to-date reliable source I have referenced. I appreciate that you may have seen contradictory information elsewhere, but please do not make edits based on such information unless it is from a verifiable source. I have, however, amended the article to better reflect the recent change in World Record status, and I hope this provides a clear enough reason why Elgin Street is no longer credited on Wikipedia as being the world's shortest street. — Superbfc 22:30, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Xiner (talk, email) 21:09, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Currency Act. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Kyra~(talk) 19:44, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
