I think the assessment of the importance of abl as being "low" is quite inappropriate, since mutation of these gene is sufficient to induce leukemia. It is quite interesting and important. However - the quality of the actual abl article is terrible... there is barely anything written; this should not incur a low rating on the gene - it should instead indicate the article needs improvement.

why was this given a low rating? Translocation of abl is sufficient to induce leukemia... it just seems abl is rated low because the article is not well-developed; that doesn't seem appropriate Gacggt 22:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
