[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
Before participating in ANTM, Curry was a waitress at Hooters. She dropped out of Joliet West High School in Joliet, Illinois in 2000 when she was a junior. Afterward, she earned her GED. She was also involved with drugs and had gone to rehab prior to ANTM. Additionally, on the show she mentioned having fallen for numerous modeling scams in her pursuit of becoming a model, paying hundreds of dollars to fake modeling agencies.
[edit] America's Next Top Model
While on ANTM in 2003, Curry had a unique drive to win the competition. She gained the respect of many judges when she showed up to elimination while she was coping with food poisoning. After winning ANTM, Curry believed she would receive a "big" Revlon contract. In Adrianne Curry's interview with www.PR.com[1], she said the contract did not end up being what she expected. "We were told throughout the taping of the show that the winner would have a huge cosmetics deal with Revlon," she said. "Billboards, magazines and all that wonderful fun stuff. What ended up happening was, I found out later on when I was waiting around for this deal that never showed up… I was told that it was just convention work. I never got paid till this day for the work that I did for them. There had been a deal already arranged before they even picked out the contestants of the show that it would not be a big contract, but that it would just be this thing. They weren't even sure if the show would make it on the air, let alone be a smash success and then into this cult phenomenon. To be in season one of America's Next Top Model was fabulous because we were the first, but it was also a great learning experience." Because of her experiences subsequent to winning, Curry has expressed dislike for Tyra Banks in several magazines, including Page Six, The Daily Collegian, Steppin' Out Magazine, and Playboy. Curry's involvement in the show was subsequently edited from the opening credits of Cycles 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. However, Curry does make an appearance in Cycle 2 of ANTM, and is mentioned during the opening of the first episode of Cycle 6 as being a past winner on the show.
[edit] Career after ANTM
Curry lives in Los Angeles, and has modeled for Life and Style Magazine, Stuff Magazine, People, Maxim, Marie Claire, Lucky, Macy's, Famous Stars and Straps, Beverly Hills Choppers, and Merit Diamonds. Curry appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial for Playboy in February 2006 (U.S. Version) where she was paid US$1,000,000 for the shoot.

[edit] My Fair Brady and marriage
In early 2005, Curry appeared on VH1's fourth season of The Surreal Life. After the season ended, Curry and fellow houseguest Christopher Knight began dating, and later moved in with each other. On September 11, 2005, VH1 began airing My Fair Brady, a show that documented their life together and paid her an estimated US$250,000. The show led her to being featured in Maxim's Hottest Women of Reality TV [4] and ranked #100 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005.[5]. Knight proposed to Curry on the season finale of the show, which aired on November 6, 2005. The show was renewed for a second season, which focuses on the couple's wedding preparations. The second season began airing on VH1 in June 2006. The couple wed in Curry's hometown of Joliet on May 29, 2006 in a gothic-style wedding. Says Curry of the goth-themed ceremony, "I wanted to go as gothic as I could and as traditional as I could without ruffling anyone's feathers. ... I wanted to have a black dress ... but I knew it would break my grandmother's heart."[6]The church in which Adrianne and Chris were married burned down in the fall of 2006.[citation needed]
[edit] Personal life
On the October 3, 2005 broadcast of the Opie and Anthony XM Satellite Radio show, Curry discussed her bisexuality and revealed numerous past relationships with women.
