Andrew Gower

Andrew Gower is the lead developer and co-founder of Jagex Ltd, a Java-based game distributor and creator. One of his most famous creations is the MMORPG game RuneScape.[1]
He attended the University of Cambridge. [2]

He has created programming, graphics and music for a variety of games. Often with the help of his brothers Paul & Ian.
In 1995 he created a 3d platform game called Parallax Painter for the Atari ST. [3]
In 1996 he created a 3d FPS called Destruction Imminent for the Atari ST. [4]
From 1997 to 1999 he created a series of Java games, most of which appeared on the website GamesDomain. This included several single player games, and finally a 3d castle with a variety of classic multiplayer games. [5] [6]
From 1998 to 1999 he created the fore-runner to RuneScape, which was an isometric RPG called DeviousMUD. [7]
In 2001 he created the MMORPG RuneScape, for which he is most well known.
