[edit] Zelda II
According to this article Zelda II does not include Armos Knights, but I disagree. Although not specifically named so, there are several statues in the game that come alive and fight link if touched (not all such statues do). If these aren't Armos Knights, what are they? - Kevingarcia 07:09, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- I went ahead and added this: "As stated, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link does not have enemies called Armos, but the Iron Knuckle knights serve the same role at palace entrances (they also serve the Darknut role inside palaces). Some knight statues that can be brought to life by Link's sword." -Kevingarcia 03:28, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, noticed some problems, went back and cleaned it up. -Kevingarcia 03:36, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
The primary difference seems to be that one is a living statue while the other is a living suit of armor. For that reason especially, the picture from the instruction manual of Zelda 1 shouldn't be used, as those pictures were pretty darn inaccurate to what the enemies looked like in-game, and what they'd go on to look like in other games.
[edit] Minish Cap
Another note, the Minish Cap gives an origin for Armos Knights: they were constructed by the Minish themselves. I don't know how or if this applies to the other games in the series, but it is an interesting note. - Kevingarcia 07:11, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
