Barry Andrews (born September 12, 1956 in West Norwood, London) was once a member of the bands XTC and League of Gentlemen with Robert Fripp, and was co-founder of the highly influential band Shriekback. He has collaborated with Brian Eno on several projects, most recently guesting on keyboards for the 2005 album Another Day On Earth. Barry also played on the 1980 Iggy Pop LP Soldier with David Bowie, Glen Matlock and Klaus Kruger. His most notable solo track was "Win a Night Out with a Well-known Paranoiac", which received considerable airplay on London's Thameside Radio and subsequently the Anne Nightingale request show on BBC Radio 1 during the mid 1980s. The A-side of this single was "Rossmore Road", named after a street in Marylebone, London.
In addition to being a musician, Andrews is also a sculptor and furniture maker.
The most recent Shriekback album, entitled Cormorant, was released late in 2005 on the Malicious Damage record label.
His 21 year old son, Finn Andrews has also begun receiving considerable acclaim as lead singer/songwriter of London based band The Veils.
