Phew.. A great event being a stub is simply unacceptable, so I massively expanded this article =P!
I will expand the Wanjialing section in a moment.. If anyone can help on expanding the references and the external links section, that would be awesome!

[edit] Soviet "volunteers" ?
"Assistance from the USSR provided additional military and technical resources, including a small band of Soviet Air Force volunteers."
Were these actual volunteers, or were they supplied by the Soviet government and just called volunteers for diplomatic reasons? Fasrad 18:23, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
