Hello, and Welcome to the Wikipedia, Burndownthedisco! Hope you enjoy editing here and becoming a Wikipedian! Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:

Thanks for wikifying - and adding links. I found necessary cites. It would have been nice for there to be something more about my grandmother than as wife of a "famous" man.
- No problem! Of course, I don't really know your grandmother (or grandfather, for that matter), so... hmm. Did she work for any newspapers or anything? That could be something that would flesh her out.

- My grandmother did work for newspapers and did a valuable and still-cited index of Iowa newspapers when she was at U of I. Despite her advanced degree, she never wanted to make a name for herself. She did a column for a (now) defunct Washington DC paper for awhile but gave it up. For her, it was all Dick (Wilson). As for pictures... got a few around. When my wife's cousin (who works for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) visited a few weeks ago, she wanted to see an actual Pulitzer Prize--and I had one (not the medal, alas)! I will scan/upload a pic to the page when I get some time.

- What I find most exhilarating is that, by creating a page on Wikipedia for an otherwise rather anonymous newspaperman his biography is now available to everyone with Net access. I like that. - I dunno... to me, working on the Album Wikiproject gives me some kind of Zen satisfaction; I just kind of get into a groove, and I'm improving the world in a small way. Besides, the album portion of Wiki is so terribly maintained, and it needs all the help it can get. But I know what you mean; contributing to something with "actual importance" is even more fulfilling, in a way. wilhelm 04:41, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

- Well, actually, although I am a Virginian, I don't actually go to Matoaca; I happened to find and revert the vandalism on the Recent Changes list. I do, however, live in Fredericksburg; our HS doesn't have a page yet. So, in summary, I was just doing my vigilante anti-vandal job, hehe. Burndownthedisco talk 14:53, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Sorry that the edits do not meet with your approval. Everything that I added to this page is directly from The Hunting of the President, by Joe Conason and Gene Lyons, except for a single quote, which I used in my own "This Far and No Further" page and is sourced there (there are a number of possible sources that the quote is from, and I am frankly not sure which one it came from). The Starr article is already highly colored in favor of Starr's position, and leaves out an inordinate amount of highly relevant and useful information that give essential background to the Starr investigation. I do not intend to get into any kind of dispute, but I would appreciate it if, instead of unilaterally re-editing my contributions to reflect your own position, you would observe standard protocol and mark the page as "disputed." As for the inclusion of the "This Far" Web site as a source, I maintain that site. Everything on that site is sourced and verifiable, except for a small amount of personal opinion which is clearly marked and which does not find its way into Wikipedia. I assure you, I am very aware of Wikipedia's standard of neutrality and try my best to observe it; however, the Starr page is unacceptably slanted and needs balancing and extending. above the internationally-imposed threshold.
- Be that as it may, the addition of biased content to combat alleged biased content is not standard protocol. If you have a problem with the bias of the page, you should place a {{NPOV}} tag at the top of the page, and outline the reasons why you think the article is biased in the talk page. I admit that my deletion of your edit without any prior discussion was a little hasty, but I was merely deleting what I considered at the time to be a heavy-handed political vandalization. If you have a legitimate problem with the bias of the article, I recommend starting a discussion on the issue on the talk page, and once a consensus is reached, editing from there. You entered information on the Discussion Page for the Episcopal Church disputing the inclusion of Bard College on the list of affiliated schools. Indeed, although not deeply tied to the Church still, it is non-the-less affiliated with the Church officially, being listed as an official school in the 2006 Church Annual published yearly by the National Headquarters. In addition, the editors of the Bard article concur the affiliation. If you wish to research this further, I suggest contacting the Chaplain of Bard (Episcopal priest), The Rev. B. D.
